  1. Hey Jay, if you're looking for dumb things to test, try running a CPU without a cooler but with thermal paste. I shit you not my brother managed to run his computer this way for like a year at least. He somehow, through some sorcery managed to break his (stock intel) cpu cooler and it was just hanging there above his cpu like a door on a hinge, when I saw it I was like "WHAT THE FUCK?! HOW IS THIS COMPUTER EVEN RUNNING?!" and he was gaming on it and everything. When I finally decided to fix it, I decided to check the temps before and after removing the paste, if I removed the thermal paste it ran way too hot but otherwise it was fine. Don't remember what kind of cpu it was (either a core 2 duo or something like an i5) You could also try replacing the thermal paste with toothpaste or tomato sauce :D
