  1. Under Authoritarianism, only the people at the very top have anything like rights. Freedom under authoritarianism is the freedom of the powerful to do as they wish. Those not at the top - they either worship their betters, or they suffer grievously. No rights whatsoever.

  2. True. I used to be one of those people, to a small degree. It tends to cause one to become old and decrepit in a fairly short time.

  3.  @abjectt5440  in some senses, they already are, e.g. how they are treated by their betters when they do not measure up in some way. Then, there is what happens should they become a “liability” by becoming sick, injured or disabled....

  4. It is one justifying myth (among many) that those ruling use to tell “their” subjects that they are superior to those not as they are. In doing so, they create loyalty-to-leadership in those subjects, who will then do as their rulers command (without considering their own costs, as a rule.)
