Cutting social programs and giving tax breaks and corporate welfare to corporate America has nothing to do with that. "And what is this about black cultural values" Some things I consider our cultural values: Equality Community service and community duty Progress Caring for the poor The modern GOP doesn't value this.

"Conservatives aren't allowed to look at who votes for them cause only LIBERALS are allowed to stand for minorities" The reasons why most blacks don't vote conservative are: 1) The Republican party has had a noticeable racist undercurrent since the 50s. 2) Several Republican presidential candidates have employed the Southern Strategy. 3) Conservatives are weak on anti-discrimination laws. 4) Several cornerstones of conservative philosophy don't mesh well with black cultural values.

  3. "No offense, but for some black people I really think it mattered that Obama was black because he would, and is, the FIRST black President. To put it another way. If I was black, I would also have voted Obama. Even if he was a "black McCain"..." So why did most black voters not vote for Cynthia McKinney, or Carol Mosley Braun, or Al Sharpton, or Jesse Jackson, or R. Douglas Wilder, or Shirley Chisholm or Alan Keyes? Obama is not the first black person to run for US president.

  4. Yep, black voters voted for every Democrat since JFK. Though Ike Eisenhower was the last Republican to get the majority of the black vote (but Eisenhower was a much different conservative than ones today or ones like Nixon a decade later). Before FDR most blacks voted Republican because it used to be the party of Lincoln and Reconstruction. Before Lincoln most free blacks (about 6% of the black population) voted Democratic-Republican or Federalist.

In their world Obama is an anti-white Muslim Socialist Communist Anarcho-Fascist born in both Kenya and Indonesia, a fan of Stalin, Hitler and Osama bin Laden who will work with Bill Ayers to nationalize all property in the US to crash the economy and cause a worldwide communo-fascist banker revolution with Iranian operatives. He is responsible for 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina (despite being a black supremacist) and the sinking of the Titanic.

"Republicans should blame Abe Licoln for their defeat lol" That brings up another point - Abraham Lincoln is one of the most beloved presidents among African-Americans and he was a white Republican. Another beloved president among African-Americans, FDR, was white. Yep, blacks only vote for blacks. I guess that's why every Democrat candidate since JFK has received at least 75% of the black vote even though they were white. Lol

  7. This is nothing new. When African-Americans largely stopped voting Republican (which occurred during the JFK/LBJ era though it began in the FDR era) and started voting Democrat the Republicans started to see black voters as a problem. Ever since 1964 when the Dixiecrats went Republican they took over the party and Republican politicians started gerrymandering district boundaries in order to disenfranchise black voters. They're just admitting out loud what they've felt for decades.
