@igoodnessi311 - Local bodies can also be ass-backwards just like the federal government can be. If it were left up to local and state governments slavery would have never ended without a Spartacus-style revolution by black people around the nation. That's exactly why the federal government got involved because things were on the way to such a thing happening since most slave owners weren't going to let the slaves go without people dying if left to their own devices.

@treysparker - No, in fact most of them didn't work hard. The majority of rich people are born into their wealth. That doesn't take any work on the part of the person who was born rich. Now most rich people do work but no one works 200 hours a week. People become wealthy because they own land or get rich from capital gains. I agree with you on the Federal Reserve but the reason the top 5% get hated on is because they buy out the government, cheat on taxes and pass the buck to the rest of us.
