  1. It's because the US government is not interested in Democracy. Our government is a corporatist crypto-Fascist autocracy run by Corporate America, the Military-Industrial Complex, Big Oil, Big Pharma, bankers and the Fed. All they're worried about is that other countries will do what American Big Business and the CIA wants.
