@ginko27 - If that's true WTF! I could believe it, though. That's about how the cops act.

@Aetrion - Europe isn't worse but it isn't too much better. A lot of conservative governments in Europe are immitating America's tax cuts for the rich, deregulated derivatives, are are chipping away at their social democratic programs for citizens. Many are defaulting due to debt from derivatives. Unlike Europe much of Africa's economy is growing, but most African countries are still far less democratic than Europe. Africa is also still heavily under the control of the West economically.

@Resurrected2011 - The Patriot Act already allows the government to arrest people for "thought crimes". By law the federal government doesn't have to present any charges and can detain you indefinitely without explaining to you what they're arresting/detaining you for.

@shraka - Class difference exist because of private ownership of the means of production. Take that away and then what? Classes disappear.

@Aetrion - True. I think Europeans are waking up (look at the huge protests all over Europe). Thankfully they seem like they're waking up before they're too far along, since they aren't as far gone as the US is. I can't say the same for America. 1/3 of the country is talking shit about OWS and defending their corporate masters while another 1/4 of Americans are too lazy, apathetic or tuned out to care. Too busy watching "Dancing With The Stars" to notice our country is almost Fascist. :/

@boxing101foo - Demand creates jobs, dummy. Not rich people. First of all, most Americans don't work for a rich person. Secondly, business owners don't hire people unless there is enough demand for the goods/services they sell that their current number of employees is insufficient. THAT'S when they hire people. If demand is low enough they can just make due with their curent workforce (which is what's going on now).
