  2. I don't think it's worse, I think it only seems that way if you compare Christianity in industrialized countries with a secular government to developing nations. If you compare Islam in modernized Muslim countries like the UAE and Turkey to Christianity in countries Kenya, Nigeria and Indonesia Christianity seems worse. I agree that monotheism, or at least exclusivist monotheism, was the worst development in the history of human thought aside from corporate personhood.

  3. I think Buddhist philosophy is peaceful in theory but in execution it hasn't much more peaceful than other religions. Many wars in Asian history have been fought over Buddhism or at least justified by Buddhist beliefs. In Japan they had, and still have to an extent, a caste system based on Buddhist beliefs of ritual defilement. Read up on the "Burakumin" caste. In Sri Lanka you have Buddhist fundamentalists killing people.

  4. I don't like any religion. Islam is no worse than the rest of them, especially of the Abrahamic religions. In Kenya Christians kill women accused of being "witches". Palin's Kenyan pastor Thomas Muthee is one of those Christian pastors.
