@dcaseng - As much as I criticize cops, I hear you, but I try to give genuinely good cops a bit of a break. Bad cops literally blackmail, threaten, assault, extort and even kill (or set up to be killed) good cops who are whistleblowers. The Edward Snowden treatment. Say you tell on a bad cop in your department. He gets suspended or fired. His friends in the force don't like that. What do you think they might do as payback the next time you need backup? Or the next time you guys need to raid a dangerous gang den? Leave you hanging or intentionally withhold help or put you in the line of fire. Bump you off and make it look like an accident. It's that bad. They need to overhaul American police. It's like the goddamn Mafia.
