@jesushatesyoutoo - Exactly. It's sort of like how Europeans thought some Africans in the interior of Africa were backwards for because some didn't wear much clothing. They soon found out why those Africans didn't wear much clothing - it's hot as F**K.

@oodlesofosz - I meant compared to Europeans. Compared to people from northern Europe the European travelers viewed the Africans as "under-dressed". I wasn't saying all Africans wear comparatively less clothing, I was speaking of people in central Africa. People in areas of Africa like Mali have to wear more clothing because of the desert sun.
