  2. IMHO progressives and real liberals (as opposed to Blue Dogs) should have left the Democratic Party years ago and formed their own independent Progressive/Labor/Social Democrat party. The Democrats sold out a while ago. Walter Mondale was the last real progressive in that party who had a chance at becoming president.
