Correct. Not to say that justify killing innocent civilians or violating their religious rights but some of what the Red Guard did with religion early on was understandable given the religious grip on their society and religious atrocities for the centuries leading up to then. To be fair to religion as well at times it could be a unifying force in the medieval world. I think the Tsarist and Bolshevist governments are a good example of why govts should be secular and neutral.

States are not allowed to violate the US Constitution. Arizona is violating the US Constitution. This is a federalist republic, not a confederation where States are all-powerful.

The closest thing to an atheist hate group was the Red Guard in some Marxist-Leninist countries. Even though it was based on a Bolshevist interpretation of Marx's atheistic views, not an interpretation of a universal atheistic teaching (though similar things can be argued for oppression from some religious governments).

Quoting or agreeing with Karl Marx on a single issue does not make you a Marxist. That's like saying agreeing with Ronald Reagan on a single issue means you're a Republican. If you don't like Americans having the freedom to be Marxists if they want to be then YOU get out.

You can teach it is in religion class but you cannot teach it in secular class. It violates the rights of non-Christians. Arizona can only do what they want IF it does not violate Constitution. The US is under the Constitution, not the Articles of Confederation. Get it right.
