  1. Because Sanders supporters are people who are hurting and want change, the change they feel Obama promised but didn't deliver on. Clinton supporters are people who are more comfortable and are happier we oty the status quo or are partisan Democrats who are more concerned about brand loyalty and party purity. Sanders supporters are issues-driven. Clinton supporters are party-driven. You see it in the way both sides talk. Clinton supporters are stuck on whether Bernie has been a loyal enough party lemming or whether he'd carry water enough for other party apparachiks while Sanders supporters criticize Hillary on issues. Bernie voters see this as tenants trying to get a new landlord to replace the current slumlord whole Clinton voters view this as the NBA Playoffs in the 90s, they're Bulls fans, the Republicans are Orlando Magics, Hillary Clinton is Michael Jordan and Bernie is Scottie Pippen trying to replace Jordan as team captain.
