@porker73 - Quota? Quotas are illegal. If someone is holding your relatives to a quota you need to report that. No one by law can force a business owner to hire someone who does not meet the minimum qualifications. "they have to pay their taxes for them" Huh? Employers do not have to pay an employee's taxes for them. Unless you're referring to the cost-split on the payroll tax where the employer pays half of it. But employers do that for ALL employees, not just minorities.

@porker73 - I mostly agree, especially with them being undocumented like it sounds. If this is true it sounds like your relative needs to appeal the decision.

@porker73 - Scared of a lawsuit? Most discrimination lawsuits never go anywhere unless it's a class-action lawsuit. Which are pretty rare. You actually have to PROVE you were discriminated against, which can be very difficult for the average person of average means who can't afford to hire an investigatory group or an army of lawyers.

@porker73 - If the job candidates are illegal immigrants (I don't know if they are but they sound like they might be if they can't really speak fluent English) an employer definitely doesn't have to hire them. They're not even legal citizens. The whole situation sounds suspect to me. "let some of their white employees go in order to hire some hispanics" I also have to ask - do they work as well as the former employees?
