Housing? Why is there no mention of opening mental heath and state hospitals, institutions, sanitariums, etc.? "Mass and Cass" is a demographic which is openly using illicit drugs to manage unaddressed mental and behavioral health disorders. They are a danger to themselves and to others. The seriously ill should not be allowed to live on and roam the streets. The centralization of shelters and "services" to one half mile in the South End/Roxbury area has permitted surrounding communities to ignore and neglect the crisis. America is one of the wealthiest countries in the world, so funding is not the issue. Perhaps, if we informed the federal government that we needed funds for a war, we could get a quick response to this issue.
