@donkeyssuck Well there are certainly some waste that could be shrunk, but different people have different view on what waste is. If you reduce something then it has to come from somewhere. The Biden administration believes that the ultra rich should pay more to society and that will in turn give room for other things.

@thedalillama Government spending isnt the sole cause of inflation. Remember that this inflation hit the entire world and no one was doing the same thing.

@morbward8281 Why would the government love inflation? Yes, they get a small amount of the inflation increase through value added tax but it is very small.

@dennisg4053 Tax is something a government impose on the citizens, while inflation is not government controlled. The value of the dollar, compared to what? It hasnt dropped compared to euro and compared to the Nominal Broad U.S. Dollar Index it has not dropped either.

@thedalillama I agree that the value of the dollar compared to other currencies can affect inflation to some degree but saying that inflation in US causes inflation in other countries is a bit much.
