What did Adam lie about? What did he say?

@robertmclean9737 There is a difference between existence and testifying before Congress.

None of you have actually answered my two simple questions. What did Adam lie about? What did he say?

From what I learned there is no rule in SCOTUS that the justices have to disclose such things but there are in lower courts. This is about how it looks... not the legality. Do you think SCOTUS should be able to receive gifts of great magnitude without disclosing it to the public?

@thumbob In my personal opinion, SCOTUS should be completely separated from business life, religious life and political life. Supreme Court Justices are appointed for life and they have a base salary of over $250 thousand. Supreme Court Justices should be on the bench because of their passion about justice and the law, not for money or power. This goes for all Supreme Court Justices, no matter who appointed them.

@thumbob I forgot to answer my own question. No, Supreme Court Justices should not be allowed to receive any gifts, even with disclosing to the public.

@thumbob "But Justices are people and should have lives just like anyone else." I agree but still remember these are Supreme Justices. "If one of your good friends wants to invite you and your family to go on vacation with their family, you should be able to do that without political people whining at you for not checking with them first." As a Supreme Justice you can easily go on vacation with friends or relatives but you pay for yourself. You dont let others pay for you. You do not accept valuable gifts from others. "Your constitutional rights doesn't end because you have the task of deciding disputes as a judge. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness doesn't end no matter what your job is." I firmly agree but as a Supreme Justice then you have a great responsibility to the public. There should never be reason for anyone to think there is something else than the law and the Constitution behind decisions you make as a Supreme Justice.
