  2. In the lifespan of a 10 MW wind turbine it will produce 1.3 TWh and do you have any idea how many barrels oil you would have to burn in order to get the same amount of electricity? I kid you not when I say roughly 700 million barrels of oil.

When you divide the total emissions(construction 90% and service/maintenance 10%) associated with a 10 MW wind turbine by the amount of electricity it will produce in its lifetime, it works out at about 6 g of carbon dioxide for every kilowatt-hour (kWh) of electricity. For coal and oil this is approximately 900 g per kWh.
