Bernie and the justice dems should do a reconciliation that includes a $2,000 per month permanent UBI. Done and done. The wealthy elite got their taxes down to 21%, I'd say that this would be more than fair to adjust for that.

@davidnichol4566 : You haven't been listening to him then. Regardless, the stimulus he is working on benefits you. It appears more like you're just trying to create a distraction, republikkkaren style.
7
@seafoam6119 I wish people would stop saying that. The justice democrats are all on our side.
6
At least he's trying. Complain to those who are trying to stop us from getting anything: the republikkkarens.

@Bernie Sanders: Please do a reconciliation that includes a $2,000 per month permanent UBI. End of story. The wealthy elite got their taxes down to 21%, I'd say that this would be more than fair to adjust for that.

@lizkeith1356 The justice dems need to grow in power and numbers first. Our best hope for a leftist party (the democrats have never been leftists btw) is to support them and empower them until they can break off and create a viable 3rd party that won't simply divide us further in our struggle against the now fascist republikkkaren party.
3
Who said he hasen't or won't? He's just one man, and even all the justice dems together are a minority still. Give them a chance and some credit for fighting for us.
3
Don't be so stupid. Bernie just said that Joe wants this to go through and it was the parliamentarian’s ruling about the minimum wage that is stopping it. Not only did Bernie clearly state this, it's in the video description.
2
@PixelGunZodiac : That's why I said permanent. Regardless, why waste a reconciliation on anything less? Because that's likely what will happen otherwise. No matter what they do, the republikkkarens will try to reverse it. So why go for small peanuts? They don't with their 21% taxes for the wealthy. Makes no sense to waste a reconciliation on anything less.
2
AOC and all the others who refuse to take corporate money are too.
2
@SamTheMountainBikeBeast The five happiest countries in the world are all Social Democracies. Finland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Iceland. They are working extremely well actually. You really should be fact checking things in this Age of Misinformation. It's your only defense in fact. Unless of course you are a bigot, then your only course of action is to deny facts because all forms of bigotry are delusions.
2
@JustMe-ec2ph I'm no fan of the corporate dems at all. But they (excluding secret republicans manchin and sinema) are a lot better than any republican. I know that's not saying much, but it's a false equivalency to compare them. Regardless, corporate dems are mostly on our side just to get the votes, that's very true. But the justice dems are doing good work in the face of much adversity, and need to be shown some love for it.
2
@Daniea3 You said Bernie, not Joe. I agree about Joe. That's just another whataboutism to bring Joe up. I've heard Bernie mention social security and social disability way more than a dozen times. So he has publicly supported it, many times.
2
Tell that to those who are starving, a-hole.
2
@5qw1rl : Either that or they are naturally stupid.
2
@SelectHawk They already keep many of them to 39 hours.
1
@JustMe-ec2ph : Jobs are being lost exponentially to technology. No one has proposed any other solution to this other than UBI, let alone a better solution. The only other solution proposed by the conservatives, is just letting people die.
1
Inflation will happen regardless of wage increase or not. What you call "no improvement" would more than double the income of those making $7.25 an hour. That's $290 per week, not just $100 per week as you falsely claim. Why are you on the side of the corporations in this fight?
1
They should just do a reconciliation that includes a $2,000 per month permanent UBI. The wealthy elite got their taxes down to 21%, I'd say that this would be more than fair to adjust for that.

@Daniea3 I also apologize for name calling. I am at my wits end with all the misinformation being spread. I spend hours each day fact checking things because of it, and would rather being doing something to move forward instead of waylaying the spread of misinformation. I was wrong to lose my temper though.
1
@dHolbach77 Yes! Manchin in particular is just a republikkkaren in democrat clothing.
1
@ThatOneGirl Lols, I understand and fully appreciate your anger. Now keep it focused on making the world a better place for everyone (I'm trying to do that myself, and its not always easy I know). The justice dems are still a small minority but growing. They are our best hope for systemic change. But while they are a minority, the best they can do is to work from within the democratic party. It's a big mess, but they are getting stronger and history proves that over time we are winning this struggle for liberty and justice for all. One day those words used to describe this country may not be so hypocritical. In the meantime, we have extremely evil (republikkkarens) and evil lite (corporate dems). Choose evil lite because that's out best hope atm, as much as that's an absolute atrocity I agree. But I do love that you're pissed off about these things. We all should be!
1
What they need to do is a reconciliation that includes a $2,000 per month permanent UBI.
1
They are not mutually exclusive.
1
For once I actually agree. Still it's easier to turn the volume up than to get my ears blasted in my headphones by the usually way too high volume on most videos.
1
@JoMomma : Children whose parents have to work 2 jobs just to pay rent. But apparently you have no compassion for people who are starving, let alone the children. Compassion = Strength. All heroes endeavor to selflessly help others and defend those less able to defend themselves. Selfishness = Weakness. All villains endeavor to get what they can at the expense of others.
1
@JoMomma Just because your son and his family are not starving doesn't even remotely imply others are not. That is nothing but another whataboutism. A whataboutism is also the full admission one not only has no valid argument, but is too lazy to even come up with an invalid argument. I'm sure you can do much better than that. Don't sell yourself short. P.S. Stop making me hungry, lols That garlic chicken over rice sounds yummy about now (I'm just teasing in good fun here). I'm not starving either btw, but like I said, that proves nothing about what others are going through. I would hope that sinks in at least. Not everyone has the same privileges and options that you and I have. I get so sick of people thinking that because their lives are easy, others lives should be easy too. That's a massive false equivalency, at best.
1
@Joshua-le5wb Also, how exactly are any "patriotic" millionaires more left than Bernie? That doesn't make any sense from what I've seen. (This is a side question though, and of far less importance to me to have you answer than would the course of action I proposed about UBI be worthy of pursuing.)
1
@Joshua-le5wb : My question to you is: is that a valid course of action? What chance do you think is has? Of course the republicans would do their best to reverse it if they again gain enough power. But in the meantime Americans would get used to the idea and love it. It would completely show both the republicans and the corporate dems for the liars they have always been. So, do you think it could pass? I see you as having more knowledge of that than I.
1
Prices will always be raised regardless. That's what happens when a country doesn't have strong socialist systems to counter the intrinsic greed of capitalism. Btw, we used to have strong socialist systems before 1981when reagan wanted to gut them to pay for his trickledown welfare for the wealthy elite program, just made worse by the Bunker Baby (they pay 21% now).
1
@Joshua-le5wb : Thanks for that information. I'd like to read your thoughts about this idea: what if they did a reconciliation that includes a $2,000 per month permanent UBI? Seems that would be far less of a wasted reconciliation than even raising the minimum wage. Sure the republicans would overturn it next time they come into full power (if they do, I'm starting to have my doubts as the voter age demographic is changing).
1
No, The justice democrats are all on our side.
1
@JustMe-ec2ph To be fair, they were only smearing Joe, not Bernie.
1
No. You homophobic closeted gay guys are tired of women. The cure is to come out and then you won't have reason to be so jealous of them for getting all the hot men you so desperately desire.
