  1. Technical drumming is what you call top 10 rock drummers?? I'm calling bullshit here. The best drummers are those that have improvisational skills, not technical. Bah!!!! That being said, you only picked one drummer that was right, IMO and that was Stewart Copeland. The others not mentioned, shockingly, are Steve Smith of Journey and John Densmore of The Doors. Away from Rock and Roll I would have easily picked the best drummer ever and that would be Buddy Rich.. No one even comes close to him. His drumming skills got better when he was in his 50's to 60's. Name one drummer at any time at that age that can pull off the improvisational shit he pulled off... You can't..
