Jesse, you can't just run on what you said "not belonging to any party" but you have to run on a message like.. "This is what I want to do", "This is how I will fix that", "These are my thoughts on our current healthcare in America and what I plan to do to change it for the better for every American". You have to have a reason why you're running. "Energy independence" "Promoting new alternative fuels to stop global climate change" Things like that. Also do away with corporations paying zero dollars in taxes or even getting a refund, which is now happening. Counter that with "No American business or corporation may pay less than 27% of their earnings, which happens to be the average of what employees pay. "Raise minimum wage to a living wage and also no longer use the term minimum wage. From now on we will call it "Living wage" and once you find a dollar figure that will pass in the House and Senate, also add annual inflation rates so that if last year, inflation went up 2%, your wage would also go up 2%. That way a living wage will automatically keep up with the times and no one will have to ever deal with this problem again. Bring factory jobs back home. Not everyone is cut out to be a professional or wants to be one or forced into that stressful situation. Also say when all Americans do well they also can give more to people that are suffering domestically and abroad. You gotta have a very strong message. One that will hit hard on our economy and jobs. Stop oursourcing. Kill NAFTA, CAFTA and any other bills that allow outsourcing. You can call businesses that outsource, anti-American. That will hit hard at home. I can go on and on yet I do not see anyone running on these themes except maybe Bernie Sanders.

Paul Martines The thing is when he runs in the final elections, they will bring this up a lot and it will crush him, I think. Other than that, he is well spoken, always has been, and he's quite intelligent. Hey, if he runs he runs. It will make it all the more exciting. All that being said, I really don't think he'll run for office. He'd be working for a government he does not trust.

Also forgot to mention Wall Street and CEO's as they take most of the company's profits and is the direct reason why employee pay has not gone up in decades.

The other MAIN reason why Jesse Ventura will never be elected? and this is a big one, he believes that 9/11 was a conspiracy theory. Oh yes. Jesse is big on all kinds of conspiracy theories and because of that, people will label him as a nut job, including me.

Patrick van meter But don't you think the news media, the attack ads, and if he ever made it to the selected final candidate that the moderators would be asking him these questions? I meant common. For every family member who lost a loved one in that tragedy has to hear from a guy who thinks the government planned 9/11 isn't going to be hurt from this? Yes, Jessie is smart but he's also not so smart when he's making money from writing books about conspiracy theories, which he has done. I had a lot of respect for Jessie until he went in this direction and, sadly, it will ruin him should he ever run for office.

Jim Man Yes, I've seen the news media coverage ignore candidates. The one that comes to my mind is our current Vice President Joe Biden during the debates. It was truly shameful to see that unfold, IMO. BTW, most criminals have had their right to vote revoked so I hardly believe that had anything to do with the outcome of ron pauls outcome in that race.

Jim Man OIC... I wasn't aware of that going on at all especially in Ohio. If any of that was true, how come I never heard about that in the news because that would be a big news story. As for our elected government officials, they are corrupt in the sense that they've been bought off by corporation, what we call special interest groups.
