  1. Charles Stewart The libertarians are nothing more than a faction of the republican party today.. Name one libertarian who supports Ron Paul, the only true libertarian, views that actually support libertarianism. I'll bet you cannot. Today's libertarians caucus solely with the republicans. Libertarianism will never thrive in this two party system we have. If the independents couldn't do it, none of the others will.
