  2. Oh btw, in the Netherlands, arguably one of the top3 countries in the world for public transport after Japan and maybe somewhere else, a monthly train pass is 300 euro before VAT. So to get around in NYC 120 dollars a month is actually a pretty good deal.

  3. After watching this whole video, this dude doesnt understand jack about economics. You cant just build higher buildings, its too expensive. You cant have people paying full price subsidize low income households, its still going to be too expensive for everyone and the people that are paying the subsidies will move out. You cant house 250K migrants on vouchers, its too expensive. There are only 2 theortetically feasible outcomes here. Either enough people move out of New York and reduce demand so that housing again becomes affordable, or you turn it into a communist commune where everyone gets cheap ass soviet style apartments for an affordable price. Good luck with that second one.

  5.  @MarkLeel  a badly maintained 1 bedroom 45m2 apartment in amsterdam is minimum 400K euro. a new or well maintained 2 bedroom is 600K. prices in the rest of holland arent much better, maybe 10% less in some areas but mostly comparable.
