@okzoomer5728 Because the reason why we need a general strike is why most Americans can't survive doing one. It can be done tho but has to be very well organized with those who affect the economy/capital most going first, everyone showing solidarity and not buckling and most importantly well funded so people don't starve or go homeless if it must be prolonged. Reagan went after the air traffic controllers union as when they striked the economy/capital takes a massive hit very quickly. Even with that done their affect on everything was shown to be true in 2019 during the month long Govt shutdown as some ATCs "took sick leave" for less than a day and stopped the shutdown instantly where Trump had to concede lest capital would be lost. Rallying them and private sector workers such as those who affect the already backed up supply chains would probably work faster than a few days of low wage workers striking but combining the two would be doubly effective.
