Albanese voted for a ceasefire, as did Macron.

@george00110 Albanese and Macron both refused to help the US target the Houthis. Both of them hope the Houthis cripple Israel's economy, if you ask me.

@JianYZhong I agree with everything you said, and add that the fact that human rights are worse in one place doesn't absolve another place of human rights violations, such as the treatment of the Uyghurs in China, which many countries characterise as either ethnocide or genocide. I do denounce the blatant hypocrisy in terming that a genocide, while aiding and abetting a genocide in Palestine.

@george00110 Just research it then. You'll find I'm right. Also, Macron has denounced the actions of Netanyahu several times, quite strongly, and he is having meetings with the King of Jordan, about what I do not know...

@JianYZhong Once again, I am in agreement with everything you said, except for when you tried to deflect Chinese responsibility for the human rights abuses against the Uyghurs in China.

@george00110 That is a very different picture to the one I got, which is that the French and Australians did not want to get involved in a more targeted attack against the Houthis, as the US wants to do. They may want to protect their own vessels, however, but not Israels.

@JianYZhong I disagree with you totally on this comment: genocide is not relative; human rights abuses are human rights abuses, and they must be singled out for opprobrium wherever they are found. I fear your nationalism is clouding your moral vision.
1
@JianYZhong All I hear from you is an argument that if one genocide is not as bad as another, then it doesn't count as genocide. That is irrational and unethical.

They stand for greed and racism.
