  1. Franz Aussie Progressives do not win because the DNC does not run progressives and openly opposes and stifles them. The DNC does not win in the south because they barely run candidates who can win as the choice between the GOP and GOP light is easy for most. To say a progressive can not when they are not even supported by their party when they do run seems like you are ignoring a big piece of the puzzle. The spin the democrats have to run right is empty bullshit and they lose because they stand for nothing and inspire very few that should be eager to vote for them.

  2. Franz Aussie That the establishment democrats are not what the insane GOP is today does not mean they represent their voters and are not basically 90's style republicans. We made progress but do not see it as huge at all. The fact is the DNC snuck a candidate because the GOP voters picked a giant asshole who was easy to dislike as their guy. The idea that we can expect Dough to get elected again is not very well thought out and this election was a blip on the radar and not a statement of real change. We need to have actual progressives fight and fight hard against the gop and hit them at their weakest point by making it clear they are totally sold out. Even republicans do not like corruption and the only reason the all the establishment DNC candidates does not use that as an attack is they are complicit in the exact same failure.
