  1. I think they need to change tack next election. The NDP spent most of it's time attacking the liberals because that is where they see any votes they gain coming from. I think that is an issue for a few reasons. Not the least of which when they do that they end up sharing attacks with the conservatives and bolstering their talking points. Sharing spin with the cons turns off many who vote against the cons not for a party. A lot of people do not vote for the liberals, they vote against the conservatives. I would argue he should frame most of his attacks against the cons and splash damage onto the libs when those two main parties agree. This tactic spins the attacks so that left leaning anti-con voters are not turned off his message as they are more likely to accept it framed against the cons even if the policy is shared between them. It will make the NDP seem like more of a fighter against the cons while chopping into unpopular neo-liberalism and establishment economic policy that plagues the Liberals. The NDP needs to win the votes currently cast for liberals to ensure the cons are beat. The NDP needs to look strong by swinging at unpopular economic and foreign policy ideas that two main parties promote framed as a problem for the cons. The conservatives will then point out the liberals share the failure saving the NDP from doing so. This will draw in the votes of those who hunger for change but vote for liberals based on the fear of a win by the Cons.
