@WarmWeatherGuy i am the first one to call out fundemantist Muslims and Christians as social cancer. I have no problem pointing out their ignorance, bigorty, masoginy and repressive backward freedom hating nature. I also know that secualism tempers the wost of their nature and nuters the power of the most regressive to enact policy based on thier nonsense faith claims. I refuse to share spin with assholes who have many of the same problems as the fundementlaist muslim ideals anyone who vlaues freedom should oppose, When your 'allies' share your spin while spitting on ideals of seculaism know you are doing their work for them.

No it does not. At least no more so than christianity or any faith that has backward fundementlaist adherants. Christanity was identical to islam in its problems before it was muzzled by secularism. The islamic world also needs the benefit of secularism to temper its worst instincts just as we have done to the chrstian cult which still has many critical problems even today.

We know what corrects the problem and it is not demonizatin of the entire religon but the promotion of freedom to make an ever more moderate choice or to choose no religon at all. The muslim world is deeply conservative, it hates liberals. It has far more in common with the christiam right than anyone on the left. This is identical to when the christian chuch had the power to write law. In fact many fundementlaist christans would dearly love to do the same thing. The key dif beteen the egyptions and our deeply rligous fanatics is our secularism. In the US muslims as a group support gay marrage at higher rates than fundementlaist christans. @leqaf i would argue that fundemanist Christians have access to much more power and are just as dangerous and backward. If you are not concerned about assholes who long for judgment day contoling the nuclear codes then you are not well focused.
