I do not defend Hamas but I do feel for the Palestinian people as they are in a untenable, unfixable situation. Neither leadership has any intention of peace as both value the conflict because it gives them power. Hamas does not want peace because then they would be replaced. Lukid does not want peace because the fear of war is what puts them in power. This conflict will never be solved with the respective leadership each has in place. This is as much the fault of the Israeli leadership as the Hamas leadership and this truth needs to be stated at the head of every one of these conversations if there is any intention of moving forward. When peaceful protest is made impossible and pointless it ensures there will be violence ...

Agree, I see no full throated support for Hamas. Lots of blank checks for Israel

I see Netanyahu and his radical fringe cronies as just as bad .. but then I do not back any tyrants.

Unprovoked is a little bit of a stretch, anyone locked in an open air prison for the crime of being born might have a touch of tension with their jailers.

In this case that is not the reason for killing one another, one group is forced to live in an open air prison for the crime of being born there and the other is slowly stealing their land by moving radical settlers onto it one village at a time. Can't imagine how that could create some tension.

I stand justice and fairness for all, I do not defend bad actors just because I have been told to. Hamas is the failure it was designed to be, they are directly empowered by terrible policy relentlessly pushed by Israel. As it stands, neither of the leaderships have the best interest of their people in mind. This conflict gives both sets of leadership power and as long as they are in place there will be no peace. Neither side wants it.

How would you wipe out Hamas? Can you tell who is Hamas and who is not, if you were to murderer every member (like half the population) do you think that would decrease the amount of tension in the region? Do you not think you might create a new problem? As long as the Gaza strip is an open air prison where people are half citizens on their own land you can expect this will continue to be an issue, as long as Israel demands they can steal and settle that land the tension will only be ratcheted up. How could it go any other way?

Na, not for an emotionally charged but misguided take .. he is not a bad guy even as we disagree here.

What do you imagine they should be using ..
