  4.  @R_A_3000  I would argue math is less about thinking critically and more about understanding the foundational elements and solving techniques. Getting the correct answer to an assigned math problem is a measurement of your understanding of the process and rules. Being able to come to the correct answer has a direct correlation with your ability to apply what you learned on real world problems. Getting the answers right in math (unlike English for example) has real and tangible value if you intend on making use of the concepts.

  5.  @ianalan4367  It literally means the government can not sponsor a religion, if it does then it forces a national religion on us. The separation of church and state is a primary element of our Constitution. The founders were deists and understood how religion when comingled with the state was a path to corruption and abuse of power. God does not give us rights, our Constitution does that! All rights are given by people. Giving credit for our rights to the same god that was used to justify slavery here is real stretch. The christen god actually has a lousy history of valuing individual rights. The vast majority of the history of the religion has over seen a standard of tyranny, slavery, misogyny, bigotry and brutalization of any non believer. Only very recently in the historic timeline has the christen god been erroneously associated with rights for anyone but the powerful. Peace!
