In Finland they ban private schools and fully fund the public system so the richest and poorest kids all go to school shoulder to shoulder. It ensures the schools are funded and the correct focus is put on them. They have the best education system in the world for a good reason.

To put this into perspective, you went to school over 50 years ago. The world is not the same as when many schools were one room affairs and education itself was not nearly as important to your future success.

@richardthomas1531 I remember them and do not smile when I do, the days of letting pent up prudes hit our kids should be behind us.

@richardthomas1531 The idea thay had a better handle on us is silly, you personally know plenty that fell between the educatonal cracks. It just did not natter as much.
