I've envisioned how to teach trees to run away & fight back when the chainsaws come. Gives me great pleasure to imagine a tree (like treebeard in Tolkiens tale) squashing some pathetic human intent on destruction.

Truth and well said.

I just drove across Minnesota for the first time in many years & was appalled by the wind farms that have been constructed there......thousands of them, all with blinking lights that pollute the nighttime landscape. It's grotesque. These monstrosities are not the answer.

@jameswells554 I practice the same. Unfortunately most are not like you but conditioned to disregard nature & take, never giving. I hate how humans treat this planet and each other. It's become increasingly difficult for me to be here and see the wanton greed & destruction as time goes on.
2
Wish I could share your optimism but I don't see it. Destruction of the natural world is only increasing as time goes on. Greed, fear, & self interest seem to be the dominant qualities of human nature.
2
The plandemic has been used as an agent of death for anything good & sacred on this planet.

The answer is not in finding different ways to feed our insatiable appetite for things. Greed knows no bounds. Humans need to get back to a simpler, less destructive way of living on this planet. True happiness comes from an authentic connection with nature and each other, not all this other crap that we're fed relentlessly by an uncaring machine that just wants to consume until there's nothing left.

Humanity reaps what it sows. I grieve for all the life that shares this planet with us.
2
And humans seem to have no limit when it comes to greed.

The sadness & grief for what has been lost, what is being lost, and what will be lost on this planet seems bottomless.

Good one.

Hard to believe. Is the replanting for tree farms? Because there's a big difference between a viable forest with a lot of diversity and a tree farm.
1
I agree. I see it everywhere I go.
1
@alanduncan9204 The ancient beauty & magic of this planet is being destroyed. Humans don't deserve to be here at this point.
1
Should be required viewing for everyone.

Check out Michael Moore's "planet of the humans" film for the truth about biomass. It's beyond criminal.
1
Much respect. I have travelled a similar path to you.....and it's not an easy one.

This is at the root of much of the evil on the planet. Weak greedy humans often point to this corrupted verse to make the argument that we can do whatever we want with Gods creation. It's sick and twisted.
1
The problems with the so called "green" movement were documented well in the film Planet of the Humans by Michael Moore. Basically the greed & self interest of humans takes precident with just about everything we do on this planet. Humans kind of suck when you look at the big picture.

Southern Oregon?

@Arsene Lupin III I feel the same. They don't seem human to me. Or maybe they are the humans and we are something else.....creatures of the forest? I know that I connect with trees better than I do most people. And I'd rather be in the company of trees than I would most people....
1
As always when it comes to humans follow the money. There you will find the answer.
1
True. Sometimes populations have to be controlled.....including humans.

Don't think the Amish are extreme at all. They are wise because they live more simply and closer to nature and have respect for other life. Modern "civilization" is on an ever accelerated path of destruction. I see no way to save it.

@annabocking8824 If the last 2 years showed us anything it's that most people are programmed consumers & will go along with whatever big brother says as long as they have their tv, car, and useless plastic crap. I don't see the masses ever waking up until it's much too late. It's disheartening.
