9:51 Japan's NHK is NOT a "channel! It's a network of STATIONS transmitting on various channels across Japan. A "Station" is a large building housing studios, archive libraries, administration and sales offices as well as rooms to house video recording equipment and telecine playback equipment as well as the room housing the transmitter gear, while a "channel" has no physical presence anywhere. It is entirely ethereal and is only physically represented by the tuning circuitry in a typical TV set.

Philips' "VCR" was a NIGHTMARE! The initial version used cartridges where the tape on concentric reels(one above the other) was held in CARDBOARD cartridge shells. The machine could only offer 1 hour of record/playback in the N1000 machine, and then 9o minutes in the N1500 machine but the machine would mangle the tape, making it unusable. Typical Philips, producing UTTER SHIT as usual!

In the surname "Pfleumer", the 'eu is meant to be pronounced as if it was 'oi' or 'oy'. Such is the German language, I learned it for an interest and one of the first things taught was the odd pronunciations of some letter combinations.

15:25 It's NOT "Shiba", it's TOSHIBA and it shares its status with America's Capitol Records as the INFANT TODDLER subsidiary of Britain's EMI(Electric & Musical Industries) Ltd.
