  2. Solid masonry constrruction if often cheaper to build than the galss boxes. The main difference is in the long term maintenance and even the life expectancy of a building. Traditional build has been seen to last hundreds and even thousands of years with ^relatively little maintenace. Modernist buildings often last less than 20, and might last longer with heavy and costly mainteance.
