  1. They would all be rolling in their graves to see what the Irish govt is now, faced with two of the lost gormless and disliked leaders in Ireland's history. The values that the 1916 and civil war fighters have fought for have been disgraced and airbrushed from history. Ireland is a captured and subservient by market interests and friends in high places, plus the Catholic church. We never had real independence, just post-colonialism for a neo-colonialism. Pro-treaty (Irish govt) forces murdered ruthlessly, such as anti treaty fighters tied up and blown up by land mines The Anglo Irish treaty was a British ultimatum threat of invasion that bitterly split up families from eachother, a nation and a movement. That was its main purpose.

  2. Euronews should be doing a better job reporting on the vandalistic decline that Ireland has been suffering by consequtive government policies of austerity and undemocratic free market ideology.
