The one thing I and other Irish people will not negotiate on - is freedom of movement on the island of Ireland - a hard border on the island of Ireland. THAT is the RED LINE from the Good Friday Agreement referendum that existed 20 years before brexit. Despite all of that, the Irish people - the Irish government had been tolerant for years now. Personally knowing well how inconceivable, damaging and reckless this is. "Controlling your borders" (which you had full right for non-EU nationals) risk infringing on ours, and the international laws of the GFA. We voted for it over 90% in the Republic. Over 70% in the North In 1998. You cannot take that from us because the British said so 2 decades later. My heartfelt plea - is why didn't the UK LISTEN - LISTEN to all of the warnings Irish people and diplomats gave about this since 2015!   2. don quattrocchi The EU is run by the EU. And sure, Soros too, why not, cuz Soros? And we never elect any one in the EU, not a single MEP for Parliment. We elect no heads of state governments who sit the European Commission (who then elects presidents, vice president, EU agriculture minister, etc)

  4. don quattrocchi Maybe understanding the EU, it's history, its treaties good (Maastricht treaty) and bad (Dublin treaty) may be too complicated for you to understand. Assuming you get your head out of your biased ass first. And yeah. You were told, repeatedly that each member country's "elected head of state" becomes an EU committee member. Each EU country has MEPs to elect. The number of which is proportional to its population against 500,000,000 EU citizens. If you live in the EU, and it sounds like you don't, every citizen has an EU representative, as well as a government head of state in the commission.
