NATO members are free to choose to join and choose to do so because of Russian threats unlike Ukraine which is being coerced to become part of Putins new empire. And don't tell me there are no drugs in Russia or shootings. Anna Politkovskaya was shot dead at Putins behest because she was reporting on Putins FSB bombings of Russian apartments that killed 300 of their own citizens, look it up under 'the murder that killed free media in Russia'. The West has it's problems but at least I don't get jailed for saying I don't like my government and I can peacefully protest and vote against it. Kids are druggies and are killed in Russia too. I don't live in The US and I don't agree with their gun laws but if it was a choice between there and Putins Russia (Note I say 'Putin's Russia') I know where you would find me, every time. And as for people of colour they are treated universally badly in Russia, many have been lured to work there only to find the jobs they were promised don't exist and women have been forced into the sex trade. All that and a warmongering, murderous dictator in charge? You're welcome to live there.
