I would be very interested to know if the lady in red honestly replies with, "I'm English", when asked about her identity. I have strong doubts that this isn't the case.

Democracy. Throws up all kinds of people who shouldn't be in power.

If the media didn't exist, we wouldn't know what to hate most of the time :)

I'm not convinced that Rishi Sunak is tax and spend by nature. The pandemic was a black swan event that called for measures to save the public from financial ruin. Sunak does not want to increase the debt, he wants to keep the deficit low and if that requires higher taxation temporarily, he's willing to do it. Part of being a conservative is being responsible. If the situation permits, taxes can be lowered.

If you are talking about ethnicity, the Taiwanese are basically Chinese. And if you ask the Taiwanese people whether they are "Hua ren", which means ethnically Chinese, they will all say yes. It's just that they don't share the same politics as the Chinese on the mainland.

Ideally there shouldn't be politics in sports but then you go to Rangers vs Celtic games and you have politics there... British vs Irish, Catholic vs Protestant etc.

@remyd1984 Can poles be English?

You literally can't remove citizenship if it renders someone stateless. The way it was done for Shamima Begum was because it was argued that she was eligible for Bangladeshi citizenship under Bangladeshi law. Had the exact same case happened and the only difference was that Shamima Begum was Indian, this would be impossible because India would not consider her Indian under Indian law due to the fact of being a British citizen (using a British passport) and dual citizenship being banned.

Indians are super fascinated by foreigners and often if given a chance will ask foreigners questions they will never ask other Indians. This comes from their lack of experience and also inner repression.

Don't have any sympathy for Bari. She doesn't sympathise with the causes of people who would be her allies and then all of a sudden she feels betrayed by people who were obviously going to betray her (liberals and islamists).

Maybe GB News

This is all great but none of it is actually going to work. That's depressing.

Can't even criticise Sarah Haider either for her bias against other religions and seeing each religion as the same as each other (they are not) or you'll get blocked.

Always nice to see a fellow Indian on the channel!

You could probably visit Hong Kong, but mainland is a nono. But HK may be problematic too tbh.

I don't necessarily agree with everything she has said but I think what she's trying to say is that in India, the situation is bad enough that there are very real problems there and real victims whereas countries like the UK are so much further ahead in women's rights that there's nothing really to be a victim about in the UK. As for Sikh victimhood, I don't know but she does call herself Indian rather than "I'm Punjabi".
