  1. +maggie moore Regardless of your position, you can NOT say that prohibition did not stop one person from drinking. It obviously stopped MANY people from drinking. Do you think less, more, or the same amount of people started drinking after prohibition was abolished? By all accounts and statistics, more people drank, and people drank more, after it was made legal. You can use lots of different arguments for/against marijuana legalization, but that argument simply isn't true.

And what do the pharma companies have to do with anything concerning smoking pot? Thanks to modern medicine, people are now living into late 70s or onto their 80s. They weren't doing that back in the 50s or 60s! Heart medicine, thyroid medicine, anti seizure meds, etc have improved and extended the lives of millions of people. Pharma companies r not our enemy. I didnt mean to start an argument with u, but i can only take so many pro-weed people worrying about their next hit, and yours was the comment i happened to reply on. We could have hillary running things, putting her wacko, corrupt, inept people in every corner of the govt right now, and just because trump has Sessions in who wants to enforce EXISTING laws, all u druggies want to destroy trumps administration. Pot has pretty much been illegal this whole time, none of u prople should be addicted to it anyway, since its already illegal. So stop crying that u may be caught.
