  1. Exactly! They are in it for life due to the fact that they have to make the hard decisions that may not sit well with the popular vote at the time. I hate to use this word, but they must be unburdened by all outside influences.

  2.  @dar13rell  Regular people don't have to retire at 65, that's just the age they can start collecting social security. And even that age has been tinkered with in modern years.

The fact that the Dems want to change the rules that have been in place for decades, only after a couple decisions they didn't like, right before a huge election, should make that party the absurd laughing stock of the country and be embarrassed into obscurity. The quality of the citizenship has dropped so low that it's depressing, and scary! :hand-orange-covering-eyes:
