  1. not that much. ike was not very political, could have run as a democrat. both parties are tools to put the power and treasure of the nation in the hands of a few. they appeal to whatever groups they can to win power. the democrats have abandonded the poor, the republicans have recruited the country people, neither party would be recognized by their antecedents.
