  1. there are no 'other democracies.' except the swiss. they are the only democracy, a proto-democracy at that. usa is not a democracy, the 'citizens' do not rule. they don't even know what's going on. they certainly aren't consulted. how can you say 'democracy' when there is no citizen initiative? nor even referendum? have another look at '1984.' pay attention to the purpose of 'doublethink,' which is loading one word with several contrary meanings, to wipe out the ability to think clearly or consult effectively with others. or don't americans read '1984' anymore? or you think it doesn't apply to you? that is american 'democracy.'
