  1. before you put up a building, you have to build a foundation. in a state, that might be a published document called a constitution. usa has one, and that foundation has shaped the state built upon it. everything you see around you was shaped by the constitution. most notably, the usa is not a democracy. it is an oligarchy- in a nation of 300+ million people, a congress of 535 people rule. whence the word 'oligarchy,' rule of a few, from greek. so lincoln was just another politician-liar, usa is not, never was a state ruled by the people or for the people. burning cities, murder by police, endless wars for profit, these are not markers of democracy. all politicians are parasites, not just the republicans. don't imagine that replacing trump will fix your nation.
