  1. much has changed since roman days, but the succession ot caesars and augustas in usa is beginning to resemble the 'decline and fall....' the structure of the state was defective at birth, and is hopelessly obsolete. bernie can't fix it, nor anyone else. the whole selection process of national managers is visibly absurd. yet the professional talking heads are the closest to political analysis, and can not rise to the level, even, of 'the late show.' this is not going to end well, or even end, just become less and less relevant to human history.
