  1. trump is a good measure of the contempt many americans hold for the caste of professional politician. that's about his only strength, but it's a good one. not enough to get re-elected, you may think, but biden [ nothing will change! ] still leads the polls. i can not understand why americans have not yet understood the need for democracy, unless my suspicion of general ignorance and wide-spread contempt for minorities is well-founded. perhaps a history of slavery, ethnic cleansing, local and global aggression has wound a karmic spring to the 'retribution' level.
