the usa is not a democracy. it never was. the man who wrote the constitution said so, in promoting adoption by the grandees in the constitutional convention. he feared democracy would lead to socialism, and he wasn't going to permit that, nor did the grandees. usa is not run for the benefit of its people, anymore than a ranch is run for the benefit of its cattle. human cattle have the option of revolution, to establish democracy. but that needs citizen quality people, and they are few, in a nation of cattle. prospects for the usa are not good, and similar considerations suggest homer sap might be in trouble.
