  1. these problems wouldn't arise if you had democracy. the notion that you should submit to politicians appears to be baked in, perhaps a genetic weakness inherited from britain. but some states would be effective democracies if independent. referendum, initiative, even recall available on citizen demand. really, those true democratic states would be much better off, if they seceded. but it never crosses the minds of murrikins, that they should rip the parasite politicians off their back. as i said, there is a genetic weakness in many, maybe most english- speakers.
