  1. what you have is elective oligarchy, it is heavily influenced by money, resulting in functional plutocracy. this is open in front of you, yet still you pretend you have democracy because you don't have the courage to face reality. what's chances of things getting better? zip. people with neither courage nor education can only be serfs. but things will change. usually some general realizes the civil government is despised and kicks it into history.
