  1. stop complaining, serfs. you don't live in a democracy. it doesn't bother those that know it. most think what they have is democracy, only more convenient because done for them, by experts. if you are dim, or ignorant, or lazy, you are exploited by the strong. wolves eat lambs, and rams too, if they get out of their station. that's life. i've never come across an american 'what shall we do' discussion. perhaps the serious people work in secret. but secret revolution is difficult to imagine. in any event, if you are not hungry, you don't revolt. even if the elite is driving the nation off a cliff, you don't revolt. and that is why nations and empires end: exterior conditions arise that stress them, and members simply don't care. crash!
