  1. nothing a politician says is written in stone. they all lie. they all pretend they know what to do, and further pretend they can do it. if elected, reality re-asserts itself, and the chumps are surprised. that's why political discussion is a nonsense- mere kabuki. i marvel that anyone wants to participate in the usa political system, unless they see a dollar in it. it should be clear to all by now that the usa political system has led the nation to bankruptcy and moral collapse. you need a new one, but there is no one in public life saying, "we have no clothes!" they are just saying, "put me in office and i'll wave my wand!" well--- news flash: the rocks of the planet are filled with the bones of creatures whose bodies became obsolete, the pages of history books will tell a similar story, of great nations reduced to blocks of stone strewn about a desert landscape. you need a new constitution, and anyone who says, "not necessary, just put me in office, and the wheels will turn again!" is simply lying, or crazy.
