  1. it seems usa history is not mentioned in usa schools anymore. a national army was regarded as the tool of kings, to oppress the people, and locally controlled militia was the means of resisting. but people in the usa are told daily that they have democracy, 'done for you,' and they should submit to their 'democratically elected' masters. of course, de santis is a local would-be nazi, but when you don't have democracy, refuse to admit that you don't have democracy, and don't even know what democracy is, choosing between submission to local nazis or national nazis, is a choice which is not pressing. making up your mind about chocolate vs strawberry ice cream seems more important.
